What is aeronautical engineering?

Aeronautical engineering is the science or study of flight-capable machines which is associated with the working, maintenance and handling of aircraft.

The aeronautical engineering and aircraft maintenance engineering is mainly concerned with research, design, maintenance and production of aircraft, spacecraft or aerospace equipment like satellites and missiles.

They also design, test, operate military air crafts and helicopter. Aeronautical engineers play a major role in creating or developing extraordinary technologies like jets, shuttles, space aircraft, missile and rockets.

Aeronautical engineers work to make sure propulsion system operate efficiently that an aircraft aerodynamic performance is sufficient.

Career growth in aeronautical engineering

To be an aeronautical engineer the person should be 12th pass, with science and mathematics.

He or she should have scored minimum 50% of marks in every subject. This industry has a vast scope for the people interested in it.

1# Communication:

The air crafts are made or design in such a way that is become very difficult for the pilot to see what is directly in front of them.

As we know that the main focus in this field is always regarding the safety.

So wireless techniques and are used here to avoid further in this the communicator co-ordinates with the pilot from the control room and provide pilot technical details regarding the plane and also guide pilot with the next step which has to be taken.

2# Instrumentation:

Instrumentation engineering is a stream that covers the subject from various branches like chemical, mechanical, and electronic and computers.

These engineers relatively work with data acquisition, sensor systems, calibrating, analyzing, repairing and maintenance of the equipment’s which are used in monitoring and controlling engineering systems,

3# Navigation guidance:

it is a branch of aeronautical engineering that basically deals with the design of aircraft, space crafts, helicopter etc. and these are performed by trained engineers in rocket’s dynamics, the human reaction time is too slow to control this movement.

Government job sector in aeronautical engineering

1# S.R.O:

Which is known as the Indian space research organization, established in 1969 which is headquartered in the city of Bangalore.

This is the 6th largest space agency in the world which is run by the government. This organization looks in space research, launch satellites, making satellites and many more.

An aeronautical engineer can get the job in ISRO by just passing a written exam which ISRO conduct every year.

2# Defence:

An aeronautical engineer can get a job in defence force basically air force. Role of the aeronautical engineer in the air force is to design, maintain and testing air crafts.

3# N.A.L:

NAL which is known as National Aerospace Laboratories which was established in 1959 at Delhi by Council of Scientific and Industrial research.

It develops civilian aircraft in India which means an aeronautical engineer can get a job for designing, developing the air crafts.

4# ICAO:

Which is known as International civil aviation organization is a U.N (United Nation) integrated specialized agency which is established in 1994 to manage the administration and governance on civil aviation its headquarters is located in Canada.

It also creates guidelines for aviation regarding the safety, security, regularity and protection for the environment.

Private Job field in aeronautical engineering

In the private sector, an aeronautical engineer can get a job in companies like Air India, indigo airlines where an engineer can use his skill to maintain, repair and servicing of air crafts.
